Fall 2017 I took a Digital Storytelling course, where I interviewed Elaine Townsend, the Assistant Director of N.C. Sli (North Carolina Student Latinx Initiative). As a mentor through N.C. Sli, I attended weekly community events and interacted with parents to answer their questions while, ultimately, promoting higher education to Latinx high school students in North Carolina.
